Facility: D.W.C Hole Head Lettuce
Main challenge: Water & root health
As part of our scope of work, we optimized the facility’s circulation and filtration system, including a complete cleaning and disinfection of the entire setup to ensure optimal hygiene and performance.
In addition, we introduced a new substrate both in size and material, combined with tailored cultivar selection and climate strategies aligned with seasonal demand. This integrated approach significantly enhanced crop performance, consistency, and overall operational efficiency.

Facility: Ebb & Flow Basil
Main challenge: Crop plan/ Operations
In this project, we focused on optimizing the overall crop plan and facility operations through targeted adjustments to increase production per square meter.
This included refining plant densities, improving irrigation strategies, and enhancing post-harvest techniques to extend shelf life and maintain quality. We also optimized climate strategy and fertigation, while advising on future equipment investments to ensure stable, efficient performance during challenging summer conditions in Murcia, Spain.

Facility: Aeroponics Herb Production
Main Challenge: System performance
In this unique project, our primary focus was on optimizing the overall climate strategy by redefining day and night setpoints.By increasing the energy input to the crop, we achieved a more balanced relationship between energy input and yield output per square meter of the facility.
Additionally, the irrigation and fertigation strategies were fine-tuned to address minor deficiencies identified during the initial site assessment. These targeted adjustments resulted in improved crop performance, consistency, and overall system performance.

Facility: DWC Hole Head Lettuce
Main challenge: Tip-burn
A significant level of tip-burn was identified, which made the product unsellable. We restructured the climate strategy and optimized day–night and humidity parameters.
Combined with suitable cultivar selection, this led to full crop recovery, with no further tip-burn observed. We also supported the implementation of dissolved oxygen and high-pressure dosing systems, and refined fertigation, resulting in improved crop health and consistent achievement of high-quality production standards.

Facility: MGS Hole Head Lettuce
Main challenge: Facility start-up
Strategic support was provided throughout the facility construction phase, focusing on selecting appropriate equipment for efficient lettuce cultivation in Zanjan, Iran.
Beyond equipment selection, we prepared essential start-up materials for the initial operational phase and connected the client with reliable suppliers. We also delivered comprehensive guidance on climate control strategies, fertigation, disinfection protocols, SOPs, packaging, and overall facility operations to ensure a smooth and efficient launch.

Project under development
Agranom was appointed to lead this project end-to-end, starting with concept development and structuring the initial business plan, followed by engagement with turnkey suppliers to benchmark budget quotations.
Initiated in early 2025, the project has already defined the masterplan, site location, and pre-purchase agreements with local off-takers. Financial closing is expected in 2026, with construction planned for mid-2027. Agranom remains committed to ensuring project viability through long-term consultancy and continuous support across all key phases.
